I had been eyeing these trees, growing on fallow land alongside Interstate 10, between Lafayette and Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, for several months. Whizzing by, at 70mph, I caught glimpses of the scene in different light, and decided upon a B & W image to be taken on a dreary day. That opportunity came yesterday, when storm clouds gathered, and after Easter company had left for the day. I tried various perspectives to get an interrelated, cumulative effect and this "triangulation" composition, with the center tree in the background, flanked by two others, in the foreground, is the image I chose to work with first. I used Nik Silver Efex Pro 2 software, for the black and white conversion, considered by many to be the best application around.
